Michael Czajkowski, the present owner
of Edmund Czajkowski & Son Ltd, carving one of a “flock” of
five griffins for a staircase in Meers Ashby Hall, Northampton.
Using traditional craftsman's techniques, we turn your ideas
into unique pieces of furniture of the highest quality, associated
more with the finest antiques of the late eighteenth and
early nineteenth century, than with modern mass production
Only the best materials are used,- from exotic hardwoods
such as ebony, rosewood, olivewood and mahogany, to English
oak, elm and ash. These timbers can be used both as
a veneer or as solid timber. Experience in selecting woods
is essential if the finished pieces are to stand the test
of time. We also ensure that all our timber comes from sustainable
sources.
Our skills in French polishing, see photograph, marquetry,
parquetry (a geometrical form of marquetry), inlay work,
carving and upholstery mean that no matter how small your
commission, be it a decorative box, with carved or gilded
decoration, or a large dresser, sideboard, chest of drawers
chair or a dining table, you can always be assured of the
quality of each item of furniture. |
